On the occasion of the exhibition La Generación del 27¿Aquel momento ya es una legenda?, the Sociedad Estatal de Conmemoraciones Culturales (SECC), the Junta de Andalucía, and the Residencia de Estudiantes have co-edited a catalog that incorporates key aspects of the exhibition dedicated to the early years of a crucial episode in our recent history, and whose literary, artistic and culture heritage, is still present today.
The catalog includes a list of the exhibits illustrated, among which are fifty works of art and about a hundred documents, books, magazines, original photographs, manuscripts... themed routes that follow the multiple aspects of literature, art and thought of the time.
Andrés Soria Olmedo, curator of the exhibition, writes an essay in which he examines the many aspects of the so-called group, generation or culture of the 27th, from the birth of the so-called «youth literature» around homage to Góngora to the cultural, political and social environment in which it arose, its connection with other literary movements that preceded or followed, and so on.
