He started publishing the series “Nuestros políticos según la onomatología” in the newspaper El Sol on March 9. In these political articles, he played with the names and surnames of the most prominent politicians, satirizing the conservatives and praising the Republicans. He gave two lectures on architecture in the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid. The first, sponsored by the Professional Association of Students of Architecture on March 24, was entitled "Function versus form. Comfort versus luxury.“ The second, sponsored by the Society of Courses and Lectures on November 19, dealt with "The forms of the cities.”

In September, he participated in the Exhibition of Architecture and Modern Art, organized by the Ateneo at the Grand Casino in San Sebastián, with works by Picasso, Juan Gris, Miró, Manuel Ángeles Ortiz, Joaquín Peinado, Pancho Cossío, Maruja Mallo, and Bores, among others. Moreno Villa exhibited five paintings and gave a lecture on the new schools of painting. He was selected to participate in one of the first international exhibitions of Spanish modern art, organized by Margaret Palmer, the representative of the Carnegie Institute (Pittsburgh) in Spain, in the Museum of San Diego, California, at the end of the year.
