Tierra Firme

 

The eight issues of the periodical published in 1935 and 1936, with an introductory essay by Salvador Bernabéu Albert and Consuelo Naranjo Orovio, a general index by authors, and a names index.

Proposed  by Américo Castro and edited by Enrique Díaz Cañado, Tierra Firme was the voice of the Sección Hispanoamericana del  Centro de Estudios Históricos. Its mission was to promote Latin American culture in Spain, and to spread in America Spanish thought, and the cultural and scientific revolution that was taking place in that country. The most prominent historians, philologists and humanists wrote for Tierra Firme.

This book is published by the Sociedad Estatal de Conmemoraciones Culturales(SECC), the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), and the Residencia de Estudiantes
