Almost seventy years after his death, Federico García Lorca and his work are, according to Andrés Soria Olmedo, close and necessary, familiar and resistant to be decoded at the same time. This book proves the simultaneous relationship that Lorca maintained with tradition and contemporary literature, his dialogue with the past and the present, a distinctive feature in his work. It follows Lorca’s literary development, analyzing a selection of texts to reach the conclusion that Lorca is "a modern classic".
