The original texts of Luis Cernuda’s Donde habite el olvido were in José Luis Cano’s archives kept at the Centro Cultural Generación del 27, in Malaga. This facsimile edition was published by the Centro Cultural Generación del 27 and the Residencia de Estudiantes to commemorate Cernuda’s birth centenary.

The sometimes arduous reading of the drafts allows us to follow in detail the writing process of these poems (May 5th, 1932 - May 10th 1933) .

The book has seventeen untitled poems, with the exception of the last one, "Los fantasmas del deseo.” The poems were numbered I to XVI.
