This exhibition was a tribute paid by the Círculo de Bellas Artes and the Residencia de Estudiantes to this poet, translator, essayist and art critic, who died in 2002.
The catalog provides an overview of Santos Torroella’s life and work. It explores his poetry, his cultural and publishing activities, his writings about the arts, and his research on the Spanish avant-garde, especially Salvador Dalí.
It includes testimonies from friends, and essays about his work by Elvira Maluquer, Jaume Vidal Oliveras, Jaimie Brihuega, César Antonio de Molina, José Francisco Yvars, Juan Manuel Bonet, Francesc Fontbona, Joan Hernández Pijuan, and Ricard Más Peinado.
