José Luis Pastor. A la deriva

Painter José Luis Pastor was a fellow at Residencia de Estudiantes from 1999 to 2001, a time he used to develop new projects and to observe Madrid’s life. This is the catalog of the exhibit A la deriva, a selection of his latest works divided into three parts: "The world of beliefs,” “The golden  age,” and “Artificial paradises.”

They are large paintings – enamel on canvas, paper and cardboard- with a faded technique, almost out of focus, a symbolic and figurative reflection on the city and its buildings, the past and the present.

Joaquín Pérez Azaústre wrote an essay, "A la deriva,” and a curriculum vitae of the artist.
