Emilio Prados, 1899-1962

This catalog is the first hitherto work devoted solely to Emilio Prados, a key figure of the Generación del 27. The essays in this volume reveal the complexity of Prados’ personality, and his versatile work as publisher of  Imprenta Sur, his connection with the visual arts and music, his relationship with writers of the Generación del 27 and their periodicals, the influence of Surrealism, his ideological commitment during the Spanish Republic and Civil War, and his exile in Mexico.
The catalog includes reminisces from friends, a selection of his poetry and correspondence, illustrations, many of them unpublished, placing us inside the world of this poet.
