La colección de Federico García Lorca

The Residencia de Estudiantes joined the events commemorating the 100th anniversary of Lorca’s birth with an exhibition and its catalog honoring his friends and the mutual influence in their lives and work. The introductory essay by Christopher Maurer deals with external influences on Lorca's work, and Augustín Valley writes about drawings as a gift.

It also contains 38 letters written to Lorca by Salvador Dalí, Rafael Alberti, José Moreno Villa, Emilio Prados, Luis Buñuel, Benjamín Palencia, Gerardo Diego and Benjamin Jarnés between 1920-1936, reproductions of drawings and paintings given to Lorca by his friends (Dalí, Grau Sala, Barradas, Gaya, Palencia, and Norah Borges), and some photographs of the group of friends.
