This catalog shows the collaboration between de Falla and Manuel Ángeles Ortiz for El retablo de maese Pedro premiere in Paris (1923), and its performances in Sevilla (1925) and Amsterdam (1926).  It includes the sketches of sets, costumes and puppets drawn by the painter, Hermenegildo Lanz and Hernando Viñes. With essays by Juan Manuel Bonet on Manuel Ángeles Ortiz, and Jorge de Persia on Falla’s work, based on an episode from El Quijote  and commissioned by the Princess of Polignac.
