Rafael Barradas y Juan Gutiérrez Gili (1916-1929)

Catalog of the exhibit focused on the friendship between Uruguayan painter, Rafael Barradas and Catalan journalist and writer, Juan Gutiérrez Gili during those years. Their friendship began en Barcelona and continued in Madrid, where Juan Gutiérrez Gili moved to become editor of Tableros, anultraísta periodical.  He also wrote for Ultra and Alfar. The catalog includes Barradas’ drawings for those periodicals, essays by Antonina Rodrigo and Teresa Gutiérrez Comas, an anthology of Gutiérrez Gili ‘s articles on Barradas’ work, his art and literature reviews, a selection of his avant-garde poems and a chronology of both artists.
