They return to Madrid in June and found Caballo Verde para la Poesía, a periodical, whose edition was entrusted to Pablo Neruda.  In January 1936, they start the collection “Héroe,” which publishes Altolaguirre’s La lenta libertad and the works of other contemporary Spanish poets. They print Salinas’ Razón de amor, Cernuda’s La realidad y el deseo, and two volumes of Bergamín’s Disparadero español for the publishing house Cruz y Raya. However, their project to print Lorca’s Poeta en Nueva York come to fruition. Altolaguirre’s Las islas invitadas appears just before the military uprising of July 18.
