He continues with the publication of Poesía and other printing work.
He befriends Spanish and Latin American writers and painters (Picasso, Dalí, Ángeles Ortiz, Rodríguez-Pintos, Carpentier, Rodríguez Lozano, etc.) He travels to Switzerland in March on the invitation of his friend from Malaga, Bernabé Fernández-Canivell. He spends the summer with Jules Supervielle, Rafael Alberti, and María Teresa León on the Mediterranean island of Port-Cros.  In the fall, he moves to Madrid, where he meets the poet Concha Méndez. He publishes Soledades juntas at the end of that year.
