Litoral stops its publication due to lack of resources. Its supplements, however, continue to be published: Ámbito, by Aleixandre; Orillas de la luz and La flor de Californía, by Hinojosa, and La toriada, by Villalón. Altolaguirre leaves the press. In March, he meets with Aleixandre in Madrid, and they visit Juan Ramón Jiménez. Altolaguirre later sends Juan Ramón the manuscript of a book that ultimately will never be published: Alba quieta (retrato) y otros poemas. In December, on his way to France and Belgium, he stops at Hendaye to meet Miguel de Unamuno.
