He enters the San Estanislao boarding school in Miraflores de El Palo after having attended the Sagrada Familia primary school. He befriends José María  Souvirón and José María Hinojosa. He publishes his first poem, "Cantares", in the school magazine Adveniam Regnum Tuum (A. R. T)
