1986-1989 On June 2, 1986 the Residencia de Estudiantes recovered its name and in 1989, under the initiative of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas. The Residencia de Estudiantes Foundation was established, with a Board of Trustees that included several public and private institutions. / The process of recovering the archives started with the documents of the Junta para Ampliación de Estudios and the Museo Pedagógico Nacional. / The International Symposium, “La Junta para Ampliación de Estudios, 80 años después,” was held. / The series Poesía en Residencia, with readings by Rafael Alberti and Jaime Gil de Biedma, and Música en la Residencia, with a concert for lute performed by Hopkinson Smith started. / In 1998, the Residencia started its fellowship program. The following year, the Madrid City Council awarded its first grants for young researchers and artists. 1990-1995 The remodeling plans of the pavilions and gardens of the Residencia began and concluded in 2001. / Among the series held at the Residencia, “Viena 1900”, with Francesco Dal Co, Stephen E. The Centro de Documentación also has a collection of 150.000 volumes. PUBLICATIONS In 1990 the Residencia recovered its stamp and saved testimonies such as the Archivo de la Palabra of the Centro de Estudios Históricos (1931-1933), and the journal Residencia, with the twenty issues published between 1926 and 1934. Since then, the Residencia has started nine collections and has published more than a 100 titles.  They include the correspondence of Juan Ramón Jiménez, Luis Cernuda and Vicente Huidobro, among others; audio books of poetry, with the voices of Jaime Gil de Biedma, Rafael Alberti, Octavio Paz, Álvaro Mutis, and José Ángel Valente; the biographies in photo album format of Luis Cernuda, Pablo Neruda, and Juan Ramón Jiménez, in addition to the catalogs of the exhibitions. It has also published monographs and studies, such as those dedicated to Salvador Dalí by Rafael Santos Torroella, to Federico García Lorca by Andrés Soria Olmedo, and Vicente Cacho Viu’s El nacionalismo catalán como factor de modernización.
